Makers Fund raises $250M Fund IV

When we started Makers Fund over ten years ago, we did so with a simple belief: while technologies, platforms, and consumer behaviors will continue to change, extraordinary founders and creators will remain the constant.

This $250 million close brings our total assets under management to $1.5 billion. We’ve backed more than 100 companies to date, with our first $180 million fund distributing 3.6x of the capital invested back to our investors, placing it in the top 1% of venture funds globally.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with extraordinary founders around the world, from the earliest days of companies such as Dream Games (~$5bn), FACEIT ($1.5bn), General Intuition/Medal ($2.3bn), Voldex, Popcore, and many others. Their ambition, creativity, and perseverance are what have built Makers, and we’re deeply grateful for the trust they have placed in us.

We’re equally appreciative of our limited partners, many of whom have supported us across multiple funds. Their long-term commitment allows us to take the same approach with founders: to invest with conviction, remain patient through cycles, and support companies however we can as they grow.

Emerging technologies and AI are expanding what founders can build, and audiences around the world are looking for experiences that serve them in different ways. At the same time, the fundamentals remain unchanged: generational companies require creative judgment, design, storytelling, and, most importantly, exceptional founders.
